New Art by Bianca Killinger

For this series of collages I combined inspiration from Hannah Hoch, Anca Grey and Debbie Lyddon. I started off making fun black and white collages and distorted the faces as a direct influence from Hannah Hoch's work. Using book pages as the background adds a linguistic quality to the piece. I then used scraped hole-punched paper to give colour and texture to the piece which makes the collage pop. Lastly, influenced by Anca Grey, I added black and white netting to act as pockets which contrast nicely with the collage itself.
