New Poetry by Scarlet Frose

Bright light floods the canvas and makes love to the blades

While rabbits chase on endless unforgiving grass

Robins and crows cheer them on from the stands

The frost begins to form an intrinsic looking glass

And my joy was replaced

By introspection and ideals

Deer peer around room dividers of ivy

And leaves stick like paint discovering the beauty in all death

Brambles cling to fur and flesh and such

Because a sadistic love is better than none

Barren skys miss the clouds just like earth the rain

The mountains have found solace in their peaceful refrain

But the wind knows better than to let time win

Because satisfaction and death are greatly akin
